I feel all re-patriated: CBC Radio3 has revamped their website and rolled out the red-carpet to artists wanting an in to their Galaxy broadcast universe. Not only a new place to list your download tracks and maybe score an audition for airplay on the streamcast or even on the main networks, but each band gets their own homepage (here's ours) for their bios, photos and tracks, free space to host your videos, and a free blogspace to post your gig schedules and general band-news.
And best of all, it isn't all advert-laden as you'll get on that other state-side 'free' your-space; up here in the North Country, we get it done a more sensibly Canadian way, just the facts ma'am: no tasteless adverts for tzwinkie-dolls, zowie smilies, dating-sites or highschool reliving nostalgia, just a thin topscreen CBC search menu, and one neatly-web2.0 side column widget with the current on-air playlist and an auto-start audio stream hooking you up with Radio-3 Live; a pretty good deal if you ask me.
